‘An Introduction to the Camera Obscura: Drawing Workshop’
With Art and Photography Students from Clacton Coastal Academy

This two-hour workshop included:
A brief introduction to Just Jaq and my motivation behind creating the Camera Obscura
A fun game called Human Cameras
A brief introduction to the history of the Camera Obscura and how to use it as a viewing tool and drawing aid
Experimentation with setting up compositions and becoming part of the live image through posing and performing
Three large scale drawing exercises designed to explore mark-making, using the Camera Obscura as a drawing tool
Reviewing the work created and sharing ideas

It was interesting. I learnt new things and enjoyed my visit.
A good experience and I was able to explore using different materials.
The visit was very, very, well put together and especially inspiring when working together in a wide range of mixed media.
